Bettle inspiration

I like to use a beetle bug as a reference because I like the colour of a bug it like metallic, some of them you can't even tell the actual colour. My aim is to change the structure of the wings and put an almond nail shape, play and see how it gonna look like. As you can see in the picture below. I used oval Copper enamel then I used plastic coffin nail shape to see how it gonna look like. I was gonna rivet my wing on a copper plate and I was thinking of putting colour by using nail gel because can't rivet on enamel. I was thinking of making my piece a pendant. At the moment I'm still planning on how my piece gonna looks like.

Using coffin nail shape and stiletto nail shape, to create beetle wings.

After drawing a sketch of the beetle. I took a scrap of oval enamel as the body of beetle, then I used coffin nail shape to represent flying wings.

Brooch inspiration

In my mind, I'm still undecided what kind of jewellery form I would like to make. If you look carefully in the picture below I want to use a flying bug as my reference because it is suitable for the person im design for which is Somizi Mhlongo. He is like a flying bug judging by his character, Somizi grabs any business opportunity that comes to his path.  He doesn't play he is a television presenter, actor,  choreographer, radio personality and singer. He also has Somahali foundation that helps some community during the lockdown, by support with food.

These are the nails shapes names. I want to combine these shape together so that I can create my jewellery piece. The one that I like the most its a stiletto nail shape.

As was going through Pinterest, I came across this beautiful brooches and their shape look similar to the nail shapes, that I'll be using the most. This nail shape that I like, looks like marquise shape which also looks like Zulu shield (i-hawu).

I was trying to get more design variation by using different nails shape: coffin shape, stiletto shape, square shape and almond nail shape to create my jewellery piece.

Long claw nails.

Longclaw nails are more dramatic, judging by looking at there pictures below. I never saw a normal person with these Long claw nails. I only see these nails on an adventure movie like Wolverine and Cat woman. Longs nails draw attention because in my belief I was told that if you have long nails you are devil with demons. Umpiring from the pictures below I believe that these are signature piece. These long nail claws are made from Non-precious materials and precious

Wolverine

Wolverine is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marcel Comic, mostly in association with X-men. Wolverine is a powerful regenerative ability known as a healing factor and he has three retractable claws in each hand. As was looking at men's jewellery I came across Wolverine because he has weapon claws. They excited by violently by puncturing through his wrists, hands out from between his knuckles. I'm exploring the beauty of nail art and I'm trying to use nail shape to create my jewellery.
